Oh my goodness this Al Madina Halal Market has amazing food from falafel cucumber sandwiches (bought some falafel balls to make my own cucumber sandwich) to delicious baklava, all kinds of fruit drinks that I've never even seen before. Going to share with my family and friends. This is a place you must stop in and shop around and check out the amazing pastries

Madina is the best place in town for halal beef, chicken, goat, turkey (at Thanksgiving time), and lamb. They also have a little cafe where they serve Middle Eastern dishes including shawarma. The hot food is really good. I’d recommend going there.

Al Madina Market is a fine place to shop for goods that you'd seldom find in any other store. Thankfully, the multicultural tradition is celebrated here. Desserts with pistachios and dates, breads from injera to naans can be found. Perhaps the biggest selling point is the fact that it's also a restaurant. Each day of the week has a different selection of food they prepare for main sishes, but they always have shish kebabs, shawarmas, falafels, and samosas (no, pork will not be found). Since it was Friday, I decided to try the lamb mansef, a dry yogurt coated lamb dish from Jordan, which I had the choice to choose the two sides of hummus and fried cauliflower. I had the option of also having a side of flatbread but I chose not to. I was also given a yogurt soup on the sides which is nice if you want to soak it into the rice. Normally I should eat with my right hand, but as an American eho eats burgers and pizza with hand, I opted for utensils. In Al Madina, fried basmati rice is always served at the bottom of the main dish, golden texture that compliments the lamb as a staple. The lamb mansef itself contained bones, but they were thankfully easily seperable from the meat. The lamb was chewy, but also tender and savory. Sourness and savory have synergy! The hummus did its job as well, but the fried cauliflower I could try it twice again. As for the yogurt soup, it was a little too sour for my taste compared to the rest, but I drunk it just fine. I will say my biggest criticism is that I got too full before I could finish the plate and that's a compliment! I recommend coming here if you're looking forward to trying something from the MENA sphere. It will sometimes get busy and that is a good sign.

Love checking out this market and find new & unique items. Had food here for the first time today (Goat Biryani - the Sunday special). It was decent size but not enough meat pieces. We asked the guy to add a couple of more and he was kind enough to do that. Enjoyed it.

Great food, excellent prices, and friendly staff! My top recommendations: Lamb shank – don’t miss it! Make sure to pour the sauce over the rice; it’s incredible. The roasted vegetables that come with it were the best part. !!! Kofta kebab – freshly grilled, so it takes a little longer, but absolutely worth the wait. Chickpea salad, roasted vegetables– delicious and fresh. The hummus was a bit bland, and the baba ghanoush was too thick for my taste, but overall, I’d definitely come back! Also, the plates don't come with pita breads.

Fantastic market and restaurant. Enjoyed the most delicious and generously portioned shawarma and falafel plate here. We were also treated to a rainbow while dining in. Special shoutout to the staff: I completely spaced out and left my purse at the table and they ran it out to me! Thank you so much!
